Cobh-04edit

Port of Cobh, Ireland

Situated on the south coast of County Cork in Ireland, the port was known as Queenstown until the 1920s.  It has the distinction of being the very last port of call for the RMS Titanic on its fateful voyage in April 1912.  Taken in May 2009. Prominent in the background is St. Colman’s Cathedral.  For another view, see Cobh2.  (And watch next week, for another view of Cobh area – one of my favorite shots!)
