Wild Card! – June 6, 2016

Krazy Pic  You might even be able to leave off the word “Computer” here! See KP.Jun6

Court Reporters!  Recently, we featured a funny exchange between a lawyer and a policeman in court.  Here are some more apparently-real conversations between lawyers and witnesses.  Court Reporters have to keep a straight face, but we don’t!!  A couple of these are borderline PG/R, but the other hilarious ones make it worth it! See CourtReporters.

More Embarrassing Predictions  More of those predictions about the future that were way off!!  The new additions are in red toward the bottom:  TheySaidWhat?

Waiting Forever!  If you’ve ever endured a wait at the doctor’s office, you’ll enjoy this.  Sent along recently by subscriber Dave Perkins, it’s an anecdote he claims is true.  We’ll use it for Joke of the Week.  Enjoy.

June Birthdays Here are the known subscriber BDs in June.  We actually have added a couple this time – wish we could add more . . . would you volunteer your BD if we don’t know it?  See JuneBDs.

May/June BTs  Recall that we are stretching the current Brain Teasers over both May and June, due to the     sporadic nature of the Weekly Photo Sharings this summer.  Three more have been added, at least one of which I hope you get a kick out of.  🙂  See MayJuneBTs.

Trust, Support, and Empowerment Cycles Find a school system where good things are happening, and I’ll bet you’ll find lots of mutual trust, support, and empowerment.  Find a system with breakdowns in those areas, and I bet you’ll also find bigger problems, as well.  This was the focus of my News-Leader column which appeared last week.  For details, see TrustCycles.

Thought for the Week:

I know one thing:  that I know nothing.           Socrates

NOTE:  This quote, sometimes called the Socratic Paradox, can be found in a wide variety of forms and seems to be attributed to Socrates and Plato equally often. Evidence suggests that Plato may have reported/recorded this quote of Socrates (as he did others), and that Socrates himself used various paraphrases of it often.
