It’s been a while since we’ve had a story from the River Trip!  This is another mini-adventure that is shared in the Book. 

If you’re over 45 or 50, say, and grew up in or near a small town, you probably remember the excitement of the carnival rolling into your town for its annual visit in the summer.  I remember it almost like it was yesterday.

During the last week of my trip last summer, I came upon the start or end of a small town carnival.  Either that, or I took a short trip into The Twilight Zone!  For the story, and some pictures, see Carnival.
