Krazy Pics Same clever idea, two totally different approaches! 🙂 Which do you like better? See FairEnough! and WaitAMinute!
Cartoon of the Week Two funny twists in today’s cartoon. See Business Ethics and be prepared to grin.
The Laugh is on Campbell!! If you didn’t look at last week’s Brain Teasers, you missed your chance to razz me on my sloppy problem-forming abilities. Subscriber Alan Schilter wrote in and very tactfully said he couldn’t see a problem with the ABC Widgets situation. As I read his note, I suddenly broke out laughing at myself!! The ‘problem’ I wrote didn’t fit the math principle I was trying to highlight! 🙂 KUDOS to Alan for being willing to question!! By this time, I’ve totally changed the problem, so your chance to have fun with me has passed (hopefully!!) See BT 15-13 for the revised teasers, and see below for more!
More BTs I’ve also added a couple of more ‘traditional’ Brain Teasers. See BT 15-13.
Speaking of Horses! Cleaning out e-mails this week, I discovered this clip, sent to me 4 years ago by subscriber John Shepherd. Wish I’d have had it to share last week with Deb Stacey’s Guest Voice on horses. This is an amazing clip on several levels: The girl riding is a deaf-mute, so she communicates with the horse by touch only. She uses NO bridle or saddle! Her father passed away only 24 days before this. Oh, yes, and apparently the horse isn’t even hers – she’s training it for someone else. Fascinating and inspiring both. (It’s less than 3 minutes.) See HorseWhisperer.
You Said Have Fun! The column in last week’s News-Leader features one of the most surprising comments I ever got from a student! It would be funny if it weren’t so revealing. To read more, visit HaveFun (the post) or HaveFunA (the newspaper).
