Wild Cards! Nov 2, 2020

Krazy Pic 1  Maybe so, but I wonder if you should admit it?!

Krazy Pic 2  Sometimes, just a little proofreading makes a big difference.

Cartoon of the Week I’m not an overly huge fan of Garfield, but he’s often worth a good smile.  Did you ever want someone to be bad at math?

Shakespeare’s Three Little Pigs? Gotta admit – it’s pretty clever..What The Three Little Pigs might have sounded like if Shakespeare had written the story. (The bit starts at 1:10 or so, if you’re in a hurry. :-))  [Thanks to Richard Barger.]

Jigsaw Puzzle Masters!  One of our newly favorite pandemic activities is working jigsaw puzzles, so we loved this video!  Same feelings of exhileration and frustration!  Can these four guys beat one ‘expert’ at conquering this puzzle? Thanks to son-in-law Josh Walters for the sharing!

Brain Teasers – Extended!  I was wondering how I’d handle the next batch of BTs, given that Holiday Season is approaching.  So, (with submissions running slower than usual anyway – what’s up out there?), we’ll extend these BTs another 2 weeks at least  (with 2 new BTs and one Bonus added in!) And then pick up a ‘normal’ schedule again after the Holidays.

CHRISTMAS – and More!  Lots of things in store for you through January and beyond!!  Rather than inundate a space between the Photo and the Wild Cards, check out these AfterMath Events and Opportunities, and be watching for updates!!

November Birthdays Here is a list of the (known) subscriber birthdays in November.

Spelling ‘Mathematics’.  And Other Tidbits  Viewing it in the rear-view mirror, it was a hlarious misprint.  At the time, however, not so much.  At least it ultimately provided a chance to explore some mini topics in this latest News-Leader column.  See the (now-funny) story, and check the other two topics.

Quote for the Week

Life is a big canvas.  Throw all the paint on it you can.
