Wild Cards! – May 4, 2020

Krazy Pic 1  These days, I suspect there’s way too much truth here !

Krazy Pic 2  Humorous enough as a golf rule alone, this probably contains all kinds of metaphors for life!

How Confused Can We Get?  There have obviously been lots of conflicting suggestions, tips, advice, and instructions about how we should be handling this crisis.  On the lighter side, this gal will straighten everything out for you – and keep you in stitches, as well – I promise !!

One-Liners  Subscriber David Gray recently sent me some great ‘one-liner/short jokes’ material.  Between formatting problems and some misplacing, I’ll have to put into the next mailing.  In the meantime, here are some great one-liners that I apparently used early last year.  I’d forgotten them, and laughed again, so maybe you’ll enjoy them again, too.

Branson (and Lake Taneycomo) at Nightfall  The other night, for some reason (the current, the wind, magic . . .?), the Lake seemed to be sparkling in  rare spectacular fashion.  I tried to capture it, and I think I almost got it.  Take a look: Branson.Lake.Night.

Guest Voice My plans to use new subscriber Jim Payne’s voice here have also been postponed for one mailing (my fault – not Jim’s). 🙁  BUT . . .   Remember Terry Goodman, my former colleague and Top Ten List Champion?  He left some comments on a previous post that were typically funny, so I have used them as our Guest Voice for today.  Take a look at Tips for Husband Survival During Quarantine.

Brain Teasers – OLD  The Mar/Apr BTs have run their course.  For a look at all the answers and various solvers, see Solutions.Solvers.Mar/Apr.BTs

Brain Teasers – NEW And the new May/June BTs are off and running.  We’ve started you off with FIVE new BTs, and a (relatively easy?) Bonus.  Click the link and get onboard early!

“Rear Window” Views into the Educational Courtyard  My wife and I recently watched Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 classic Rear Widow, featuring Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly. (What a line-up!)  Later, I began to identify with some of the movie.  How?  And how does it relate to education?  The latest Springfield News-Leader column.
