HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
Krazy Pic 1 Is math useful? Well, yes, but . . .
Krazy Pic 2 Now here’s a solid piece of advice! Not sure I’d have ever thought of this!
Cartoon of the Week (Special Edition) This edition’s feel-good cartoon is dedicated to the memory of George Wendt, who played everyone’s favorite bar patron in Cheers. I saw this online and it made me smile from ear to ear and I think it will for you, too! RIP, George Wendt.
NORM! If you’re interested, here’s a collection of many of Norm’s one-liners. Thanks to Chris Whitley (whose FB page also featured the cartoon above)!
Curiosity of the Week With everything else being added today, let’s skip the Curiosity this time. But if you’d like to review previous Curiosities, check them out here.
Across the Wide Missouri Recently, I taped a conversation on OzarksWatch Video Magazine with our local PBS station, Ozarks Public Television, and host Jim Baker. The program recently showed up in their programming, and was entitled “Across the Wide Missouri”. If you’re interested in a roughly 20-minute overview of my 2016 Mo River Adventure, you can tune in here: OzarksWatch: Across the Wide Missouri. (Note. If it starts near the end -without a picture of the book – you may have to stop and return to start.)
Dads & Grads In a blatantly opportunistic connection to the above 🙂 , I note that Father’s Day is coming up in June, and May always brings many graduation ceremonies! If you still need a gift for a dad or a recent grad, why not give them a beautiful (so they tell me) coffee table book about my 2016 Mo River Adventure?? (see above). I will give a special price of $25, which includes FREE shipping (to you or to your recipient), and I’ll sign/inscribe it. To order a copy – or just ask questions – reply to this e-mail or use this Contact Form and I will get you squared away. If you want to see an overview of the book, visit this link or this one (but do NOT click the Add To Cart button! I haven’t even told the website about this sale!)
Pesky Puzzlers Going back in time, jumping out of buildings, fractions and more in previous puzzlers. Christine Porter, Amy Ragsdale, and Rita Barger all submitted several correct solutions! (And Amy gets the eagle-eye award for finding an embarrassing typo in the 25.7 Solutions [now corrected]!) This time: Hardware stores, boxers, oranges, and more. For Previous Solutions and New Puzzlers, check out this link – and join in the fun!!
June Birthdays Already counting down the days until June!! Here is the list of (known to us) subscribers’ birthdays in June.
