Krazy Pic 1  Incentive to walk more?  Apparently, you get extra credit for going farther?!

Krazy Pic 2  The incredible shrinking man??  Design snafu??    Your guess is as good as mine!  But it’s definitely Krazy.

Cartoon of the Week -and Bonus!  Slightly different format this time, so you get a Bonus Cartoon.  Both of these deal – in a quite funny way – with guys struggling with various situations. Those of you who know me will suspect that  I don’t identify quite so much with this guy’s fear, but will also suspect that  I definitely sympathize with this dilemma!

Curiosity of the Week (Krazy Pic 3?)  A play date between the world’s largest (Great Dane) and smallest (Chihuahua) dogs?  See here for a great picture.   For the whole story (and another fun picture!), get the scoop here.

Isn’t Math Wonderful?  Math can show up anywhere – even in the Bible!  In John 21:11 (NIV), Peter discovers 153 fish in his net after Jesus tells him to cast his nets again.  That number rang a bell.  Turns out it’s special – it’s called an Armstrong number.

Pesky Puzzlers  Two new contributors for PP 25.7 !  Christine Porter submitted correct solutions (along with Rita Barger).  And Sue Fox cleverly spotted a mistake in one of the previous ‘solutions’ (which I’ve corrected and won’t point out to you.)  The links will carry you both to the previous solutions, as well as the latest FUN Puzzlers!  Hope to ‘hear’ from several of you – you’re missing the fun!!

Facing & Solving Educational Issues  I heard from a subscriber recently, saying she had run onto one of my old educational columns and liked it.  Said I should share it in one of the Mailings.  I re-read it, and it seems – 10 years later! – simultaneously more and less timely, and in today’s climate, perhaps a hair naive?  But what the heck . . . Let me know what you think.  How do (or should?) we handle complicated educational issues?
