Wild Cards! – Mar 19, 2018

Our Krazy Pic theme for today  could probably best be described as “It seemed like a good idea at the time”.  🙂  Luckily nothing was bruised here but ego.

Krazy Pic 1  The Dunker’s Mishap Here’s his chance at halftime!  It could have gone better.

Krazy Pic 2  The Diver’s Mishap Joining her friends in the pool. It could have gone better, #2.

Poisonous Quotes It’s been a couple of years since we last shared some of these.  See the quotes from then, as well as some new ones.

Mar/Apr Brain Teasers Time for a new round of BTs!  Some are repeats and variations on repeats.  Here are six (6) to get you started.  Submissions accepted until end of April.

Earlier BTs If you missed a chance to see the fascinating number facts in Jan/Feb’s BTs, here they are again.  (BTs #9 & 12).  This also gives me a chance to pass along belated thanks to Rita Barger, who sent along the amazing fact about the minutes in February in the first place.

It made my morning!  Such an utterly trivial event, really. But I smiled the rest of the morning!

Eductation and the Decency Paradox  It’s as if the forest is sick, but the individual trees are all healthy.  Why are decency and civility so lacking nationally and on social media, and yet the folks we all meet daily are all such good people? This paradox has fascinated me and is the topic of this week’s News-Leader column.

And, speaking of paradox:

(Paradoxical) Quote for the Week

Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.
