Wild Cards! – June 1, 2020

Krazy Pic 1  Just guessing here, but she might not have passed the final, anyway.

Krazy Pic 2  Well . . . despite evidence to the contrary . . .

Return of the GIFs?  Quite a while back, after a WordPress ‘upgrade’, I lost my ability to post GIFs.  Hopefully, I’ve found a ‘workaround’ for this problem.  Let’s try a couple (let me know if you have trouble?):    1)  Right behind the ever-famous Don’t Tug on Superman’s Cape advice, there’s the almost-as-famous Don’t Overload Your Dump Truck!   2)  These two gals attempt a handstand. One of them has potential, but the other one is going to need considerable work!

A Whole Novel with NO E‘s??  I imagine we’ve all seen the clever sentences or paragraphs without the letter e.  It’s hard to do.  But an entire novel without an ‘e’??  A professor from University of Missouri has done it! Dad Jokes  We haven’t done any ‘Dad Jokes’ since March?!   Let’s remedy that here and now.

Speaking of DAD!  Don’t forget that either/both of the books I mentioned in my note last week (along with Campbell’s books, for that matter 🙂 ) would make great Father’s Day presents!  Something for the adventurer, armchair traveler, history buff, scenery lover, math type, educator, lover of humor, and more. To order any of those books revisit your SpecialMailing from last week, or Contact me directly!

Brain Teasers Half the BT-solving-time for May/June is gone!  Two new BTs and two new Bonuses added this time.  Enjoy!!

June Birthdays  June is one of our two biggest months for known subscriber birthdays!  See the list here.

Mrs. Schumacher and My Brother ( . . . and Algebra)    My brother ‘one-upped’ me.  He solved an old 8th grade Bonus problem (mentioned in this space in January) without algebra and without trial/error.  Middle schoolers could do this, too, and make algebra easier for them later.  My latest News-Leader column.

Quote for the Week

I’ve always thought that a big laugh is a really loud noise from the soul saying “Ain’t that the truth.”
