Quote for the Week:
The person who can bring the spirit of laughter into a room is indeed blessed. Bennett Cerf
Fun Quote for the Week:
I used to sell furniture for a living. The trouble was, it was my own. Les Dawson
Krazy Pic 1 OK, enlighten me. Is this a picture of two lazy neighbors getting together for lunch, or is it a unique case of “Make mine to go, please”? Either way, I love it!
Krazy Pic 2 A whole new meaning to ‘looking up to someone’!? Gymnast meeting basketballer, perhaps?
Cartoon of the Week You might know I like this one. Nothing like a little precision at the doctor’s, eh?
Curiosity of the Week Our new category makes its second appearance, but already with a new title. Let’s stick with US States for at least another entry: What’s the only letter in the alphabet NOT used in the spelling of a state’s name?
Pesky Puzzler 24.3 OK, the Puzzler last time was MUCH more complicated than I thought! (see below). My bad! So, this time, let’s go the other direction!! I’ve collected five riddles (four and a Bonus), and they are all old standards . . . maybe you’ve heard ALL of them. But this time, all you have to do is any ANY ONE of them, and you’ll get credit for this Puzzler!!
Previous PP solution WHOA!! Right at the last minute (I’d already finished the “solution”), I noticed that the ‘water tanks problem’ (which one fills first) was MUCH trickier than I thought!! I think I’ve figured out the correct solution, but I’d LOVE to have any input (agree, disagree?). More details and the solution (?) here. I’ve even left my first ‘easier’ solution. Not surprisingly, there wasn’t much interest in this Puzzler, but Anita Dixon did submit a solution.
Isn’t Math Wonderful? Can you believe that math could help you win counter-intuitive “bar bets”? Check out this amazing fact about birthdays – and head for your nearest friendly pub?
March Birthdays Speaking of birthdays, it’ll be March before the next Sharing (!), so here is the list of (known) March birthdays of subscribers.
