Wild Cards! – Dec 8, 2025

Krazy Pic 1  This is good to know!  We have their word for it!!

Krazy Pic 2  Here’s another entry in the category “it’s the caption that makes me grin.”

Cartoon of the Week  And that’s the good news.  Now for the bad news.  (This would be just my luck!)

Curiosity of the Week  Yes, this is certainly a curiosity!  But I think I’m even more amazed that the Guinness Book of Records even has a category for this!!  (And, since we didn’t go straight to the Curiosity page this time, here is a list of some of the previous Curiosities.)

Guest Voice  Earlier this Fall, my wife Pat and I went for a quiet weekend solitude retreat (unstructured with some pre-meal meditations) near Kansas City (Timber Creek).  One of the other guests we met was (Dr.) Sarah Fetter, a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Des Moines.  It turns out she also writes poetry.  She wrote a poem about one of the final activities that weekend, and I asked her for permission to share it.  You’ll be missing a little bit of the context, but I think you’ll still like it, especially as we head into a turn-the-page New Year.  It’s entitled “On Letting Go”

Guest Voice – YOU?  Suddenly, I have two more Guest Voices to share!  (Today – above – and next Mailing!).  Would YOU like to add your thoughts or story or anecdote (funny or otherwise) or poem or almost any other sharing of yourself?  Take a look at these very general and flexible ‘guidelines’ and feel free to share if you choose.  Or if you have questions, feel free to reply to this email.

Pesky Puzzlers  Various weird omissions & confusions in this section over the past 2 or 3 Mailings.  To summarize:  A)  Our Puzzler Page now is updated with this week’s new Puzzlers, as well as updated solutions to the past couple of Puzzlers.  B)  Subscribers who have submitted one or more solutions over the past month or so include Frank Green, Don Hayes, Jenni Wall, Christine Porter, Amy Ragsdale.
