Krazy Pic 1 One of the drawbacks of healthy eating? I laughed out loud!  Don’t you hate it when this happens? 🙂

Krazy Pic 2  Does the phrase Fox in the Henhouse come to mind?

Cartoon of the Week  I love these cartoons that take a minute to ‘get’.  How long for you?  Stranded!

It Could Be Verse  We haven’t included one of these in awhile.  If you were one of those who I heard utter “Thank God!”, then you’ll want to ignore this:  🙂  A little four-line look into a graveyard.

“Sleep Tight?” Where does that phrase come from?  How about “rule of thumb”?  Here’s a list of a half-dozen purported phrase/word origins.  I say “purported” because a couple of them (at least?) sound a little fishy to me.  What do you think?

Last Call Jul/Aug BTs  The solutions and submitters keep rolling in on these – JOIN THE FUN.  You have through the end of this month to submit . . . Solutions/submitters will appear next time (Labor Day), along with a new set.

Education and Immigration?  The US recently won the hardest high school math competition in the world – the International Math Olympiad – for the third time in four years.  The Bangladesh team coach had some very complimentary thoughts about the team and the US itself.  The comments are most insightful, as they directly relate to the hot-button issue of immigration.  This week’s News-Leader column.

Thanks to Subscriber Craig Carothers  Remember my call for tech help last Mailing?  Craig responded with some insights.  They didn’t actually directly solve the problem, per se, but they got me headed in the right direction to the point that significant progress was made.  So I am awarding Craig the promised reward.  Luckily, I’ll see Craig very soon at a Reunion, so I’ll present it to him then!
