Wild Cards! – April 22, 2019

Krazy Pic 1  From the Archives:  You may want to stay indoors Wednesday!

Krazy Pic 2  This is where it might be helpful to know a little less math!

Cartoon of the Week I’m not sure why Herman cartoons make me laugh so often. In this case, it might be because  I once built a table like this!

Brain Teasers!!  Five new items this time (we’ll probably hit 15 or more before we’re done!)  including what should be a FUN, tap-your-creativity, can’t-miss Bonus!!  Take a look, and add your name to the growing list of submitters!!

One (1) is not prime?!   This can be one of the more confusing and frustrating ‘special cases’ for math students – and the rest of us as well!  Isn’t 1 only divisible by itself and 1?  What’s going on here?  What tricks are the math gods playing on us (again)? Here is the explanation. (Pulled from the Math Tidbits Archives)

May Birthdays  We will be into May before the next Bi-Weekly Sharing arrives, so here is the list of (known) May birthdays of subscribers.

The Country School Stories Keep Coming!  I never expected this topic to go for two columns, let alone three!!  Hear about a 5th/7th split class, a fantastic book, and more.  Plus, I’m beginning to identify some of the things that fascinate me.  The most recent News-Leader column.

Quote for the Week
