Welcome MU Osher Participants Today’s mailing is going to roughly a dozen new subscribers, all of whom were attendees in my Osher Lifelong Learning Institute classes this past month or so in Columbia. Please give them a round of applause! 🙂

Krazy Pic 1 Amazing feat, yes! But it’s clear from these gals’ priceless expressions, they didn’t expect it to be that good!
Krazy Pic 2 First, he trusted the laws of physics (good!). Then he forgot them. (ouch!)
What’s Different?! As part of an experiment, something is decidedly different about this week’s mailing! Have you spotted it? I hope it’s obvious – that’s part of the experiment. If you spotted it, let me know (REPLY or use the ContactForm). I’ll appreciate it, and I’ll even reward you for it (if you want, of course.) Whether you choose the reward or not, I’d love to know if you spotted the difference.
Cartoon of the Week Are you a math lover (or hater)? Do you like (or hate) Jumble puzzles? How about humor? Or organic chemistry? If any of those are YES, you’ll like FoxTrot’s clever combination of them all, along with some sneaky math. (If you’re a math nerd, can you guess the puzzle’s answer? If so, you can submit it as a Brain Teaser. See B3 Bonus Question.)
Brain Teasers! In honor of just experiencing a Friday the 13th, there are now 13 total brain teasers. Four new ones have been added to the Mar/April collection, including a couple of fun repeats from three years ago. There will be NO new BTs added on 4/30 (next mailing), but you will have until then to add your submissions to the growing list! (Then there will be more, of course, in May.)
Belated March Madness Trivia (and Challenge) There was an interesting 6-part occurrence in this year’s Tournament! Will it always happen? For the neat fact (and associated challenge), open the BrainTeasers, and check the Blue Bonus Question (B2) at the bottom of the page.
Teachers . . . and Strikes Reports of teacher strikes in at least three states have been in the news recently. Is the problem really with teachers – or is it elsewhere? In this week’s Springfield News-Leader column, my own opinion contains a confession I make to myself and others.
