Cartoon of the Week – Triple Treat Remember the great strip B.C. ?! I loved it when he’d have a dictionary open to a ‘definition’! I found these THREE on one page in my files this week – ENJOY. See B.C.definitions
Krazy Pic Subscriber Alexis Avis sent this along this past week with only the comment “Hmmm!”. You can definitely see the source of her confusion!! See Krazy Pic 15-10.
BT Answers – Mini Challenges Continued. We’ll hold over the Mini-Challenge(s) from last week, as some subscribers wanted to keep looking at them, and no one answered any of them yet (not surprising). To get another look at them, see BT 15-9, and go to #4. For answers to the other three BTs, see Various Answers.
Sports Trivia! This may be a first – and a last!? – but I heard this piece of sports trivia this week, and I just found it fascinating! Did you know there was a major league baseball player who played in three straight World Series for three DIFFERENT teams?! Can you name him? To see the answer, go to World Series.
Newspaper Column I’m told that my columns in the Springfield News-Leader are going to start appearing every other week or so. This may change the way I have normally shared the same material here. More details as we go. In the meantime, you can see the column that appeared last Monday (6/15) here: Hiring Good Teachers, Part 2. As you can guess it’s a follow up to the teacher reference column from earlier this month. (See Teacher Reference Forms.) Interestingly, it appears that qualities we look for when we hire teachers may be different from those we use when we evaluate them – and NEITHER of those sets of qualities may actually match well with what makes a great teacher!
Have You Filled Out Your Input Survey? Can you note the plaintive – even pleading – tone in the voice? Almost 3 dozen of you have (thanks!), but the more input I can get the better. So, I have upped the ante, as it were! For EVERY (non-family) subscriber who has filled out the survey by June 30, I will DOUBLE the amount I’ve left you in my will!! 🙂 How can you refuse that? Go here to help: Survey: One Year Anniversary.
