The Continent’s Two Great Rivers
Just a few days short of exactly four years ago, I stood at this point – at the end of my 7-week adventure following the entire Missouri River! The Mississippi is on the left, kinda lazin’ along, and the Missouri on the right barreling its way downriver. (Look carefully and you can sense the difference in the speeds!) A few minutes later, I stood down at the point, with one foot in each river. 🙂 It’s an amazing sight – and an amazing feeling! One of the only places (if not THE only place) in the world where two such magnificent rivers come together.
