Part Village (400 residents), part resort, part retreat. Situated at the southern end of Aurlandsfjord (Fjord), it is also known as the launch point for the famous Flam Railway, an incredible 20.2 kilometer rail journey, rising almost 900 meters (3000 feet) in that 2-hour journey.
