East Meets West
Taken in Istanbul, Turkey in May 2012. The blend of East/West can be seen many places here. The country is 95-97% Muslim, yet is a democracy. The city is the only one in the world to literally reside on two different continents. (Europe and Asia). Here, three young Turkish women wear essentially western clothes, yet keep their heads covered, apparently as good Muslims. Fascinating city.
