Cinque Terre !
Cinque Terre – roughly translated “Five Cities” – is a string of five marvelous villages perched (precariously?) on cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean, all within walking distance of each other. Outside access to them is only by train or water, and the feel is as if you’ve stepped back into time. The picture above is of (what I call) Town #2 – Manarola – and I hope your device can capture the vivid colors. Even then, the camera doesn’t do it justice. Taken in May 2010.
