Spider Rock, Canyon de Chelly National Park, Arizona
The only National Park owned and operated entirely by the Navajos. Little known, but incredibly beautiful scenery, and incredibly fascinating history. (It was in this canyon, in 1863, that the Navajos were defeated by Kit Carson, leading to their removal to Bosque Redondo in New Mexico. Worth reading more about.)
Taken in May, 2013. From the Maine to Alaska collection.
