Lighthouse – Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine
We continue to rummage through the Archives to recycle some favorites from bygone days. This shot was taken in Summer 2000, on a non-sunny day. Since then, I’ve seen this one (there are several in the Park area) frequently in articles/pictures, etc, so perhaps it’s ‘famous’. A little digging suggests this is Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse on Mount Desert Island, and was built in 1858.
