TECHNICAL ISSUES & SUMMER RERUNS?
I have been experiencing severe technical issues this week, and my website and WordPress sites may have been a victim of Malware of some kind. My most excellent tech guru, Jonathon (Griffin) Long, has been on the job, and he has made exceptional progress, but if you are reading this heading, it means that we are not quite done, and things are still unpredictable (with several things going on elsewhere for me this weekend!). In that case, what follows is likely a partially- recycled Mailing from a previous late-June (2022?). If so, I can only apologize and say that I hope to be back in full operating mode and in your Inbox on July 8.

Krazy Pic 1 Gotta admit this is pretty clever. Somehow I don’t mind the deception 🙂
Krazy Pic 2 This is obviously an interesting misspelling. On the other hand, a couple of good candidates come to mind that I’d let go pretty cheaply!
Cartoon of the Week Today’s cartoon perhaps offers a wonderful loophole for any of us with mortgage loans ?
Archives: Aunt Edna and It Could Be Verse Some of you will remember we used to run regular features called “Aunt Edna’s Widsom”, and “It Could Be Verse.” Every so often we go to the Archives and pull one or two out for fun. In this quote from Aunt Edna, she puts a new take on an age-old question. This particular “It Could Be Verse”, chosen more or less at random, is from late December 2015.
Brain Teasers Last chance for the May/June Brain Teasers!! You have until the next Mailing (technically the weekend before) to get your solutions in!! Because I only added TWO BTs this time, I tried to make the last two fairly easy!!
Amazing Location of the Week Sources differ, but this town of Yanjin, China appears to claim the narrowest town in China (if not elsewhere) – and has a river running through it!
July Birthdays Here is our list of (known) July Birthdays among subscribers. Feel free to update us!
Dropping Out, Dropping In, and Authentic Learning Dropping out of school is often undesirable. A few years back, two Missouri legislators proposed fixing this in a cure-is-worse-than-the-disease way. This News Leader column, arising mostly from these thoughts, appeared in December 2020.
