GREAT DAY AT THE ECLIPSE
The weather and good forture cooperated for an eclipse day to remember. Beautiful day and 2.5 minutes of totality. We ended up near Yellville, Arkansas, at a small Nature Park – mostly by serendipitous accident!! The eclipse photo (left) is embarrassing and amateur, but must be included, as it at least shows some darkness, and – look closely – the star to the lower right that came out during totality. We sat in a cool breeze near Crooked Creek, awaiting totality at the spot in the middle photo. Photo on right, in the same spot. shows us and our Rotary foreign-exchange student from Japan, Nanami Makino, with us since March and until June.
