Wild Cards! – 11/24/14

1.  Christmas Gift Ideas – Last Week for Free Shipping  All month we’ve been sharing ideas for Christmas gifts – for yourself and others! – and offering FREE SHIPPING.  Visit Christmas Gift Ideas for all options, including new ones.  (Newly featured this week are PHOTOS themselves, as well as a NEW Special Offer.)

2.  BT Solutions!  I never expect tons of interest in the BTs, but I always hope, and a few of you always oblige.  🙂  A VERY interesting turn of events this time – a nifty solution from a 5th grader! (See also 2.5 below)  For more details, and all solutions, visit Various Answers.

2.5  Hooray for Macy!!  Macy Middleton, 5th grade student of subscriber Alexis Avis, responded to the challenge of the Painted Cube brain teaser with a fun, visual & colorful solution.  For background and the picture, visit Various Answers (see above, too.)  To just go straight to a picture of  Macy’s solution, see Macy’s Painted Cube Solution.  (You’ll enjoy this, even if you HATE brain teasers! :-))

 3.  Sinkholes?!?  Ran into this interesting collage of – you guessed it – sinkholes from around the world. Talk about Krazy Pics – here are 16 of them!! Not sure the word ‘favorite’ applies here, but I was AMAZED at #10 – it apparently swallowed a three-story building (the pic is breathtaking)!  Click Sinkholes to see the list.  (My second ‘favorite’ is the half-gone firetruck in #3.)

4.  Words Women Use 🙂  One of the restaurants we visited earlier this Fall (see #4.5 below) had – on each table – several little collections of ‘business cards’ with a variety of lists on the back.  I found this one particularly hilarious and I think you will too.  Indeed I think both genders will be nodding their heads in agreement here.  See Words Women Use.

4.5  Reprise: Hamburger BLT  Perhaps you’ve already guessed, but the restaurant mentioned above is also the restaurant where we encountered the Hamburger BLT !  In case you missed it earlier this Fall (or not), click the link to take a(nother?) look.

5.  Words Men Use?  HELP!  In the interest of fairness and balance, we really need a Words Men Use, don’t you think?  I’ll bet that with the help of all (almost-200!) of you out there, we can create one!!  I can think of several of you right now (male and female!!) who could probably suggest great additions to the list.  To get things going, I’ll start with two of my own, but I’m hoping several of you will contribute suggestions whenever you have them.  We’ll publish the updated list periodically. See Words Men Use for the starter list.
