Wild Cards! – July 25, 2022

Krazy Pic 1  Clearly (?),  this is a mistake! 🙂  If not, I don’t care if it is free – I’ll pass!

Krazy Pic 2  It may take a minute (it did me!), but when you see what’s going on you’ll break out laughing!!   This is one optimistic dude!  [If you get stuck, look toward the back corner.]

Cartoon of the Week  Occasional Claustrophobia?  Me, too.  Perhaps this is an option for us!

Amazing Location of the Week  Such beauty!!  Chiba Prefecture in Japan.

Re-Post: Summary & Solutions There were several little glitches (and one bigger one) in this Solutions post last time, and an amazing new fact surfaced since then.  PLUS, a submission set was lost in my Junk Mail and tracked down.  This is all to say:  I’m re-posting the Summary of Solutions & Solvers with (hopefully) all updates and corrections accounted for.

July/Aug BTs  I am re-wording the first BT (from Australia to Greenland), as I decided it was either too tricky or technically inaccurate – or both!!  (previous submissions credited as appropriate.)  Also, have added some new comments.  AND, there are 3 new BTs and 1 new Bonus!!  Dive in and have fun!!

August Birthdays Here is the list of Subscribers’ August Birthdays that we know of.  Do you need to update us?

Bob Hubbard Tribute ‘Sermon’  Some of you knew or knew of Bob Hubbard.  Bob was President and Lead Singer of the Foggy River Boys here in Branson for years, as well as an original member of the Jordanaires quartet (which sang in Nashville with Red Foley, Minnie Pearl, and backed up Tennesse Ernie Ford and Patti Page . . . and later a young fella out of Memphis named Elvis Presley!)  He was also a spiritual mentor to both Pat and me (and our kids), and a member of our local congregation.  Bob died in Sep 2020. This past Sunday (multiple long stories!), we did a tribute/sermon for/from Bob, which I gave.  If you want to learn more about Bob, hear some typical “Bob Hubbard” humorous stories, and see why he was so special, you can visit the July 17 service.  (The tribute starts around 27:00 and you can fast forward around/through the ‘sermon’ parts.  Funny stories at around 36:00 and 54:00)

Inspirational Quote for the Week

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.

Fun Quote for the Week

“I want my children to have all the things I couldn’t afford. Then I want to move in with them.”
