Cartoon of the Week I used to love the SHOE cartoon strip, but don’t see it much anymore. I ran into this one the other day and liked it. An interesting approach to the “who’s the boss” question.
Amazing Location of the Week The Takaosan Interchange in Japan doesn’t have a lot of beautiful scenery, but what amazing engineering and construction!! (and if you look closely, it looks like it’s not even finished!)

Pluto, Science – and the Arts?! I ran into a brief FB post about “the arts” recently. Perhaps unexpectedly from a math type, our poor treatment of “the arts” in schools has long been a pet peeve of mine. One of my columns around the time of the Pluto fly-by (back in 2015!) gave me a chance to vent.
