Confluence of the Missouri and Kaw (Kansas) Rivers
Several interesting features in this shot, taken in late August 2016 in Kansas City MO/KS: 1) The skyline of KC, MO straight ahead. 2) The Kaw (Kansas) River flowing into the Missouri from the right. 3) Shot is taken on the site where Lewis and Clark spent 4 days exploring in late June, 1804. 4) Straight ahead (to the left below the skyline) is the start of the last big sweeping turn of the River, as it turns east for the final time, bound for St. Louis and the Mississippi River.
