Krazy Pic 1 You have to admit it’s an interesting fund-raising strategy!
Krazy Pic 2 Yes, I DO love watermelon, and I do like corn on the cob, but this worries me a little.
The Chili Cook Off Judge! Omigosh, I was laughing SO hard! It reminds me of my own wimpy aversion to any hot/spicy foods. I’m not sure I believe the ‘actual account’ comment, but . . . This man volunteers to be a Cook Off Judge and gets more than he bargained for. (NOTE/Full Disclosure: I might rate this PG-13 for the occasional borderline crude humor.)
Did You Catch My Senior Moment?!? I’m sure some of you did. 🙂 I have TWO favorite Dan Fogelberg songs (the only two I really knew/know, actually). Last Mailing, I shared the songs-with-lyrics of ONE of them (for Father’s Day), and then shared a neat back-story to the OTHER one!! (Yeah, it’s a long story.) Ah, sweet senility. For the sake of some kind of closure and order, I’ll share the song-with-lyrics to Same Auld Lang Syne and I’ll RE-share the neat back-story to that song.
Edgar Allen Poe . . . and PI ! Remember our novels with no e’s? These were apparently examples of ‘constrained writing’, and there are all sorts of possible constraints. Here is an absolutely amazing rendition of The Raven using words connected to the digits of PI!! (“At the time of its writing in 1995, this composition in Standard Pilish, a retelling of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven”, was one of the longest texts ever written using the π constraint, in which the number of letters in each successive word “spells out” the digits of π (740 digits in this example)” ).
