Wild Cards! – Jan 27, 2020

The theme for Krazy Pics this time appears to be “Yearbook Quotes”.  (This was kinda new to me, but then our yearbooks were carved in stones.)  These two made me laugh, so I pass them along..

Sibling Rivalry  Not a new phenomenon, of course, but these twins take it up another notch or two! 🙂

Experience is the Best Teacher  Clever observation here, but you’ll understand his situation!

A Pencil with an Eraser on Each End? I just don’t see the point!  🙂  (I’ll wait for you to recover.)  There’s more where that came from:  The new year’s first addition to our collection of Dad Jokes.

Cartoon for February  Get ready for February!  Frank and Ernie help prepare us with a cartoon that is simultaneously four years old and brand new!

Ongoing Brain Teasers  Two new brain teasers and one new Bonus.  Only a month left for our Jan/Feb Brain Teasers.  Join the fun!

February Birthdays  Our January timing is such that we’re sharing birthdays in two consecutive mailings!  Here are the (known) subscriber birthdays in February.

In-vert the Di-vis-or and Mul-ti-ply!  Imagine an entire 8th grade class chanting that, and you’ll see why that’s one of my two lasting memories of Mrs.Schumacher’s class!  But it’s the other memory the set up my latest column:  How do you favorably sell a TV, and is Trial/Error evil?

With Friends Like This . . .?  Am I being unfair to think that politicians who meddle in educational matters often do so beyond their levels of expertise, and for sometimes-questionable motives?  This late December column wonders about the motives of Missouri’s Senator Hawley. . Am I off-base?

Quote for the Week

You don’t have to say ‘let’s obstruct justice’ for it to be a crime.  You judge people on their conduct, not on magic phrases.
Senator Lindsey Graham, 1999
