Cartoon(s) of the Week – Peanuts! In Peanuts’ first year (now being ‘rerun’ in July) there was a series of strips in which Lucy skins her knees on the sidewalk, and – among others – both Schroeder and Linus make the mistake of commenting – Linus with disastrous results! For Schroeder’s take, see Lucy & Schroeder. To see Linus’ hilarious-yet-predictable results, see Lucy & Linus.
Krazy Pic! If you love a good (which is to say bad) pun, you must see this. If you don’t like puns, you should probably see this anyway, but be prepared to groan! See Krazy Pic 15-12.
Brain Teaser Solutions Summer must be allowing more time for the BTs again. We’re still not back to our ‘heyday’ of earlier this year, but we had considerable interest this time – and THREE folks submitted various solutions. To check out the results, see Various Answers.
Guest Voice Recap! Pictures from Fred’s “Block of Wood” More good reaction to a Guest Voice last week!! I heard many favorable comments about Fred Pfister’s piece. If you read it, you possibly wondered what the sculpture looked like. I didn’t include pictures – partly on purpose. But I’ve included the ‘entire 360-degree view’ of the sculpture this week: MOST interesting!! Eight pics – scroll down to see them all and get the whole picture! See Sculpture Pics. To read or re-read Fred’s Guest Voice in conjunction with these, see Lessons from a Block of Wood.
Quotable Quotes (and Smiles): The “Quotes” section has never been terribly popular, but I ran into on this week that cracked me up. So I’ll include it today, and then add 6 other goodies on the lighter side for the rest of the week. At least two smiles, one chuckle, and one laugh guaranteed! See Week’s Quotes.
