Steam Train Along the River!  The train trip in today’s Photo also ran very close to a marvelous mountain stream/river much of the time.  For a shot which includes the river see Train 2.

BT Answers  LOTS of interest in the BTs this time – and more answer submissions than ever before.  🙂  For more information, see Various Answers.

Interesting Nobel Prize information  Some of you may not have chosen to read more about why there is no Nobel Prize in Mathematics, but might still be interested in this assortment of facts about the Prize (and its recipients) over the years.  See Nobel Prize.

Cartoons of the Week  There are so many good comic strips out there!!  I’m going to share some of my favorites (besides Herman) over the next few weeks.  Today’s TWO comic strips come from Calvin & Hobbes, and FoxTrot, both of which often dealt with educational issues.  The C & H strip is one of my all-time favorites, and will give many of you a smile of agreement.  (I tried to get these on one page, and it didn’t work well, so you’ll have to click twice.)  See FoxTrot and/or Calvin & Hobbes.

Hairy Headlines?  These headlines all come from the 365 Stupidest Things Ever Said collection.  Here you’ll learn of a crucial feature of 2-story houses, an apparently very young mother, and more!  See Headlines.

January Birthdays  A new monthly feature that I wish I’d have started earlier!  For a list of subscribers that have birthdays (that I know of!) in January, see January Birthdays.

Fun For February!!  Please check out the blurb right below the Wild Cards for a quick preview of some upcoming features next month.  Start your creative juices flowing and/or give me an idea/change for this crazy AfterMath venture, you could win any of several prizes, including CASH !!  More details starting next week.
