Wild Cards! – April 28, 2025

Krazy Pic 1  How thoughtful.  This way, if you’re stranded, you will have nourishment!

Krazy Pic 2  I wonder:  Was this a ‘mistake’, or does someone have a clever sense of humor?

Cartoon of the Week  I’ve shared this before, but it continues to strike me as funny and perhaps pertinent

Curiosity of the Week  Names of towns can be so interesting! (A former colleague collected them, and once found a headline: Peculiar man marries Purdy woman. [Both are towns in Missouri.])  One often wonders how the names are chosen (Doesn’t one?).  Here’s one interesting method!

Today in History  Benito Mussolini, Muhammed Ali, Billy the Kid, Charles de Gaulle, and more . . . all are connected to April 28 for various reasons.

Pesky Puzzlers  Puzzlers from last time included quite the variety of fun.  Subscribers Jenni Wall, Rita Barger, and Frank Green all submitted correct solutions.  This week:  A little geography, the letter e, circles and squares, and some area.  Dive in, have some fun, and submit a solution or two!

May Birthdays  Happy Birthday to our subscribers born in May!  Here’s a list of the ones known to us.
